BEAUTY AT PAEROA.
SOCIETY'S OPERATIONS. THE NEW EXECUTIVE. TBI TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. J PAEROA. Tuesday. The third auual meeting of the Paeroa Beautifying Society was held last evening. the president. Air. J. L. Hanna, occupying the chair. The report showed that very little new work, had been undertaken during the year, the society having concentrated upon the improvement and maintenance ot the plots previously laid down. The finances showed a small credit balance of £38 9s 3d. Officers for the ensuing year were elected . as 5 follows Patron, Mr. Hugh Poland, ALP.; president, Mr. W. Marshall ; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. W. Silcock and E. E. Gillman; committee. Mrs. Evans, Misses Shaw, Brownbill, and Rickard, Messrs. E. Edwards, G. H. Taylor, and A. R. Gorrie; treasurer, Mr. 0. P. DeCastro; auditor, Mr. W. H. Blakewav ; secretary, Miss H. H. Dutton. : The retiring president, Mr. Hanna, and Mrs. Hanna, who were the prime movers and inau<Turators of the society, and who are now leaving Paeroa, were elected life members.
