REMITTANCE MAN'S DEATH.
PF.lt VSITEr> I'tnn AKK. tCIATIO* AUCKLAND, July 1. John Stanfield, a remittance man, 47 years of age, died in Mount Eden gaol while on remand to got over the effects of a drinking bout. Deceased wa# well connected in the Old Country and at one time practised as a solicitor in England.
