BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTION.
TWO CANDIDATES NOMINATED
Messrs George Gardiner Me«zies, Liberal, and William Stewart, Reform, were on Saturday nominated as candidates for the Bay of Islands seat at the forthcoming by-election. Keen interest is being worked op in the contest. The Government candidate i 3 being assisted in by the Hon. A- L. Herdman, Messrs Mander and F Gordon Coates, M,.P's. and Mr Vernon Reed, ex-M.P. Mr - Menzies Is being assisted in his candidature by Sir Joseph Ward and Messrs W. D. S. Mac Donald, G. Witty, and J. T. M. Hornbsy, M.P's.
