LORD ROSEBERY'S LADAS WINS THE DERBY. GREAT ENTHUSIASM. (per press association). London, .Tun** 4 The following is the resnlt of the Derby : — Lord Roseberry's Ladas, 1 ; Matchbox, 2 ; Reminder, 3. The favorite won in a canter by a length and ahalf. Time, 2min. 46sec. Seven horses ran. There was immense enthusiasm over the Prime Minister's victory. The | atteudanco was unusually large, crowds ! going to set) the Darby run merely from curiosity as to whether Ladas would wiu or not.
