SINKING OF SUBMARINE
The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) has received advice that as a result of the recent successful action j between certain of his Majesty's : New Zealand ships and a Japanese submarine, leading to the destruction of the submarine, already published, the United States Commander of the South Pacific Area has been pleased in the name of the President of the United States to make the following awards:— NAVY CROSS.
