R.A.F. awards include the Distinguished Flying Medal to a New Zealander, Sergeant Reginald Joseph Cowan Grant, of the No. 145 squadron.
The citation states that Sergeant Grant has taken part in 23 operations over enemy territory and destroyed two enemy planes and damaged several others.
