The British firmness is appreciated' in Poland. ] There is a complete absence of panic. \ Cafes and restaurants are filled, and there is every confidence in the adequacy of the anti-aircraft defences. The military preparations of Danzig have been accelerated and new; trenches and barbed wire entangle-! ments have been established on the j western border.
