Sources close to Nazi leaders stated that the only solution of the Danzig situation is the incorporation of the Free City within the Reich, but did not indicate when and how they expected it to be brought about.

PROBLEM OF TRAFFIC CONTROL.
One necessity is obvious from this traffic map: that a greatly augmented control stafl will be required to keep the traffic lines sufficiently clear to move at an effective pace and to prevent jams and delays at the several critical points where car and bus and tramway traffic will conflict or intersect, and to make the way even reasonably safe for the pedestrian. It is proposed to add thirty temporary officers to the city staff to assist in control, if funds are available.
Critical points will be at the bottle neck at the Kilbirnie Post Office, at the car-tram-pedestrian intersection at Wellington Road and Kilbirnie Crescent, the ctill more difficult intersection at the foot of Crawford Road, and at crossings along the tunnel route.
