CRAWFORD'S CLAIM TO LEAD
(Kocuived September 14, 1 p.m.) LONDON, September. 13. Now that all international- events on which ■classification is based have ended, AVallis Myers ranks tho first ten tennis players of 1034 as; Perry, Crawford, Cramni, Austin, Allison, Wood, Mcnzel, Shields, Stefani, and Boussus. ;. Myers says that Crawford may be still greater as an artist than Perry, but tho latter has proved himself better conditioned, richer in stamina, and a greater fifth-set fighter.
PERRY'S TRIUMPH •
TRIPLE TENNIS CHAMPION
NEW YOBK, September 12. F. J. Perry (Britain), who retained the American singles championship by beating Wilmer Allison (U.S.A.), 6-4, 6-3, 3-6, 1-6, 8-6, is tho first Englishman twieo to win the American championship. He won only after being .turned back three times at match point by the courageous Allison.
Perry is also the first player to have gained in one year Wimbledon, American, and Australian championships.
