SOLDIERS' DEATHS

The. Defence Department reports the following deaths of soldiers in New Zealand: —

R.S.M. Samuel Wilson, 2/1836 a, Instructional Staff, died- at the Trentham Military Hospital at 9.45 p.m., on Ist December, from influenza and pneumonia. Deceased was 30 years of age and married; next-of-kin, Mrs. Wilson (wife), Tapu, Thames. William Patrick Kelly, 7/2558, a discharged Soldier, died at the Christchurch Hospital on the 15th November, from influenza. He was 35 years of age and single, his next-of-kin being his mother, Mrs. M. J. Kelly, 22, Murray-street, Greymouth. Pte. John Charles Leversedge., 6/83, a discharged soldier, died at Christchurch on the 24th November. Deceased was 24 years of age and single, his next-of-kin being W. C. Leversedge, 147, Idris-road, Fendalton, Christchur'ch. Pte. William Harold Anthony Scott,/ 65731, an undischarged soldier, died at the Napier Hospital on 30th November. Deceased was 22 years of age and single, uext-of-kin father, William Scott, Have-lock-road, Napier.

Pte. John Robert O'Connor, 15761, died at Victoria Hospital at 10.30 p.m. on 28th November, from influenza and pneumonia and cerebro spinal meningitis. Deceased waa 28 years of age and single, his next-of-kin being his mother, Mrs. B. O'Connor, 25, Barker-street, Wellington. The following four returned soldiers as reported by the Registrar of Deaths have tlied:—Capt. William Colenso Drummond, 25/3, struck off strength of the N.Z.E.F., died on 20fch November. Deceased was 38 years of age and married, his ne±t-of-kin being his wife, Mrs. Maud A. Drummond, Allardico-street, Dannevirke. L.-Cpl. Joseph Oossgrove, 8/1441, a discharged soldief, died on 21st November. Deceased was 24 yeaxs of age and single, his next-of-kin being Mrs. B. Toming, 12, Greaveglor, Argyllstreet, Motherwell, Scotland. • Pte. George . Stanloy Moran, 10/2245, a discharged soldier, died on 18th November. He was 26 years of age and single, next-of-kin, mother, Mrs. J. Moran, Matamau. Cpl- William George Harrigan, 10/3588, a discharged soldier, died on 23rd November. Deceased was 26 years of age and single.
