Two years ago Tagalie won the One Thousand Guineas and Derby. In 1908 Sigiioretta won the Derby and Oaks. In the One Thousand Guineas, run earlier in the month, Fifinella ran second to Canyon. The Derby winner had a good record last season. Out of three starts she won twice, viz v the Fulbourne Stakes and Chevely Park Stakes, at Newmarket, both races being won in a canter. In her other start she was beaten a short head by Telephone Girl in the Bibury Club Stakes, at Newmarket.]
