PORT NAPIER. (From the Hawkt's Bay Herald— Oct. 23.)
Mr. J. A. Smith held his previously advertised Sal» of Cattle at Waipukurau on the 15th instant. There was a good attendance of buyers, and the following good prices realized: Cows and Calres sold at £14 10t., £12 10s., £12 65., £12, £9 16s. to £6 10s M averaging £11 3s. each; Cows from £15 to £6 Ids., averaging £10 18s. each. A lot of Heifers from £7 to £5 10s., averaging £6 6s. each. 3 Bulls sold respectively at £7 155., £16, and £14. Some of the Cattle bought in were qnittcd at an advance immediately after the Sale. The total amount of the sale was £286.
