FASHIONABLE WEDDINGS.

Evaus, K.N.,- of tiie Antarctic ship Morning. Officers from the Antarctic ships Discovery, Morning, and Terra Nova were present. The interior of the church w_ gaily decorated with flowers and bunting, a. large Uniou Jack depending in front, of the altar, and tlie flags of tho iirteri—tional code filling the wall spaces. Tlio oere_lony was performed by the Rev. T. A. Hilinilton, vicar of Fendalton, hir„self an old navy officer. Tlie bridegroom was dre—>ed in full naval uniform. As the bride and bridegroom entered the church the organ, at which 3-iss J. Black presided, pealed forth "Tlie Voice tliat. Breathed o'er Eden," and in the middle of the service tie hynr—, "0, Perfect Love." was sung. Whilst tho contracting parties were signing their names nt the small table, which had a Union Jack as table-cloth, a march was played, and they le<ft the church to the strains of the "Wedding March." The bridesnulids were Miss Ardah Holmes and Miss Rita Russell (sister of the bride), and the groomsreten were Lieutenant J. G. S. Doorly, R.N., of the Morning, 'and Lieutenant M. Barae, R.N., of the Discovery. After the ceremony the wedding guests were present at a reception at the residence of the bride's parents, "Quamby." Fendalton. at which, in accordance with the custom at naval weddings,. tlie wedding cake was cut with a sword. Mr R. Beetham proposed the healui of tlie bride and bridegroom. The presents included a handsome silver casket from the captains and officers of the Discovery, Morning, and Terra Nova. At St. Luke's Church yesterday Mjss Rose Den ham, daughter of Mr E. Denham. was married to Colond W. A. Day. Tho ceremony was performed by Canon PaFCi>e, assisted by th. !Rev. W.W. Sedgewick. Mr Clarence Turner presided at the organ. The bridesmaids were Misses Em"c Denham, W. Westenra. E. Hill, and Deans. Mr E. Webb was best man, and Messrs Guy Pascoe, Allan Denham, and Cuthbert Denham were groomsmen. Tho wedding gifts numbered between 200 and 300, among them being some beautiful mats and other articles made and presented by the Maoris of Akaroa. Colonel and Mrs "Day left for Wellington last night.
