Messrs Huddart, Parker and Co.'a steamer Tasmania, Captain MeGee, arrived yesterday morning from the North, and sailed in the evening for Sydney, via Wellington and Northern ports*.; : ; The a.s. Mararoa, whicia arrived yesterday morning, brought down a large number of passengers, a list of whom is given above. . She returned in the evening with a considerable-number of excursionists.

The 8.8. Janet Nicol sailed yesterday afternooD, her destination being changed from Westport to Greymouth. The attention of pleasure-seekers is directed to an advertisement re excursion trips by the steamers Canterbury and John Anderson on Monday next. The latter boat will not run to Port Levy on that day, bat will make a special trip to that port on Sunday (to-morrow), leaving Lytteltpn. at 10.5 a.m.
