The Victory Derby resulted in the defeat of the favourite, The Panther, which was beaten out of a place, the nice being won by Grand Parade, with Buchan second, and Paper Money third. The Panther remained a strong favourite at 6to 5 on. His restlessness delayed the shirt, and when the field was dispatched he got away badly, and wun never prominent. The King's Horse, Viceroy, Avon the second race amid a scene of tremendous enthusiasm.
