LONDON, August 27.

It is officially stated in Warsaw that German police surrounded the Polish Consulate at Marienwerder, East Prussia, and prohibited exit or entry and also disconnected telephones. The Gestapo raided M«rionwerder secondary school, the only Polish education establishment in East Prussia, and arrested teachers and pupils.

The Germans also isolated the Polish Consulate at Mahrischostrau and Brcslau.

Germans, armed with rifles, attacked a Polish factory at Lignozaat, Szyglowski, and penetrated into Poland to 100 yards throwing bombs. Soldiers and militia repulsed the attack.

The Nazi police in Danzig have confiscated oil tanks belonging to the Polish Government company at Polmin, and also 5000 tons of j-ye and 1000 tons of barley stored by a Polish agricultural company. Frontier incidents are increasing in number and seriousness.

Germans early this morning fired on a Polish railway station across the Slovak frontier, (iermans on the PolishEast Prussian frontier are reported to have fired oil frontier guards, one of whom was killed. It is stated that Nazi Storm Troopers have been placed at tour stations in the Polish railway system in Danzig.

The Berlin newspaper "Angriff" claims that 24 of the minority German Ukrainian reservists were machinegunned and killed at the provisional military camp at Lodz, for refusing to be shifted to Northern Poland.

CENSORSHIP IMPOSED.

Cable companies here have been notified that a censorship will be imposed in 'England at 11 a.m. Greenwich mean time (approximately 10.30 p.m. on Sunday New Zealand time).

The censorship will be imposed on all messages between Britain and Canada. Only undisguised words in the English or French languages will be transmitted. The censors will operate only at the English end.

Assurances were given in Britain previously that no censorship would be imunless the European situation became more serious. Sir Samuel Hoare said there would be no censorship of the Press unless there was an actual outbreak of hostilities.

It is officially announced that the Government of Hungary has countered the refusal of a non-a agression pact with Rumania, with a proposal for a treaty guaranteeing the rights of minorities. states a report from the Budapest correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain.
