OBITUARY.

DAIVID G. BOLSTAD. A returned soldier, Mr. David George Bolstad, who had seen over four and a half years of war service, and had been wounded at Gallipoli and in the Somme battle, died in the Auckland Hospital on Saturday night. He was one of three sons of Mr. C. J. Bolstad, architect, of Auckland and Warkworth, who enlisted, the other two having died, one in action at Paschendale and the other of sickness. David Bolstad had risen to the rank of sergeant-major, when his wounds put him out of action. After returning to New Zealand he married, and he leaves a widow and two children. He was a member of the Oddfellows' Lodge, and was 2S years of age. DEATH OF MRS. A. BOARDMAN, SEN. Mrs. A. Boardman, sen., passed away at her residence, Ponsonby, this morning, aftera long illness, at the age of 86 years. The deceased lady arrived in New Zealand in 1864 with her late husband Mr. Abraham Boardman, and his two children by a previous marriage. Mr. Boardman was a well-known Auckland citizen and held many important public positions during his life. Mrs. Boardman, in the early days, took an active part in the social life of Auckland, and did much good work in the parish of All Saints', Ponsonby. Up to the time of her death she was a member of the Orphan Home Committee. A very large circle of friends will regret her death as she was greatly loved by all for her many endearing qualities. She is survived by the widow and two sons and daughters "of her stepson, the late Mr. A. Boardman, and also by her stepdaughter, Mrs. Warren, of Los Angeles, California.
