THE EPSOM DERBY.
A Press Association cablegram from London states that Persimmon won the Derby by a neck from Bb. Frusquia after a mosb exciting race. Time, 2min 42 4-sth sec. Loafcas, the rider of Sb. Frusquin, broke a stirrup leather during the lasb struggle. Tremendous enthusiasm greeted the Frinca of Wales as he led in his colt, and the cheering lasted for a-quarber of an hour. J. Watts rode the winner.
