LONDON, September 20.
McEinley memorial services were held everywhere, and. business was largely, suspended. A vast* congregation attended the service at Westminster Abbey, including' Mr Choate, his .wife, many Ajnericans, and the Agents-General of the various colonies. ■ The King cabled Mr Choate from the Continent : "Our thoughts are specially with the American nation, where the distinguished President is laid to rest." Tho Queen sent' an autograph letter of sympathy to Mrs McKinley. WASHINGTON, September 20. Tons .of floral tributes were sent to Canton, including wreaths bearing the names of, rulers and statesmen. King Edward's wreath was taken to Preßi-' dent McKinley 's house, -and, placed on the coffin when proceeding to the church.
