The first to^)k place at Okoia a few Aveeks ago,/which proved quite a success. Tlie second takes place at Kaitoke on Thursday next, and the third at the Opera House on June 3rd, for which the pick of local talent hris promised to assist, including St. Paul's choir. The band has been very fortunate in receiving some handsome donations recently, and it is hoped before many months are over that the required amount will be forthcoming, as it is felt that the patriotic sentiment in the district will feel the responsibility of keeping this Nature's music to the fore with financial assistance.
