THE EASTER ATTRACTION.

WANGANUI POLO CLUB'S SPORTS

Practically the. only attraction m Wanganui at Easter are the Wanganui Polo Club's sports to-be held at the Racecourse on Easter Saturday. It. is some thirteen, years, since sports of this nature have .been" held in /Wanganui, and there will no doubt.be a very large attendance of the ■ public on . Saturday to witness whatshould bea very pleas-. I ant afternoon's entertainment. . The first race will'be.-run at 12 noon sharp, and will be punctually and quickly followed during the afternoon by various interesting races and competitions. We publish below the nominations for tho' different events which are most satisfactory. Among the amusing is the" " Cigar, Night-shirt, I and Kerosene Tin Race." This event

<$$- brought down the house " at- the re-cent/-Wellington Polo Sports, and ?s being eagerly looked forward to here. The " Polo Ball Race " and the " Bending " will indicate to the public the great capabilities of .well-trained polo ponies. Last, but not least, the "donkey Race" will create/immense excitement, and the Avinher will prove that he is " last, but not least." During the afternoon a band will be in attendance, and tuneful selections will/be rendered. Afternoon tea will be provided by Mr: D'ustin, the well-known caterer, so that nothing should be lacking to. provide a most enjoyable afternoon. The prices fov admission are—Ground. Is; lawn and stand, gentlemen 2s 6d j ladies Is, and children in all easels/will be admitted half-price. - With such art attractive programme and popular prices of admission the Wanganui Polo Club's sports should be largely patronised, oh Saturday.
