: Major- General Pratt. —Major-General Pratt’s services date from the 2nd February.. 1814. He gained>Lis company ; iti‘Tß2s; and his ma fori ty, lieut.-colbnelcy, aiid fullcoloheTCy in 1835, 1841, and 1851 respectively. Ilis commission as Major-General dates from 261 h October;; l'Bsß‘ ! r nie following Tecapitulatiou of his services is from Hart’s z/rmy List: — 11 Major-General Pratt served the campaigii of 1814 in’ Holland, as a volunteer, with the 56th regiment,, and l was present at the attack on Merxem on- the - 2nd 5 Febfuary,andthe subsequent, bombardment of' Antwerp. He served with the 26th regt. on the China expedition (medal),rand commanded the land forces at the assault and capture of the forts of Cheunpee on the 7th January; 1841, .and again at the assault, and capture of the Bogue Forts on the 2Gth February following,'also commanded the 26th regiment 'at the attacks on Canton from 24th May to Ist June; also the night attack on-Ningpo, at Segoan, Chapoo, /Foosung, Shanghai, and at Chin Kiang Foo.” yfAjoß l Nelson.— I “Major S. L.'KrNelson (severely wounded at I'Jeni-Badam) served in the 40th regiment' throughout the operations in Candahar ■ andi Afghanistan -in 1841 and 1842, and has received the medal. This officer was also present in the -action of Mahar;>jpore,29ih Dec; 1843, for Which lie has received the Bronze Star, and in' which lie was: severely wounded, having likewise a horse shot .under him. ’He was adjutant of the regiment duriugi the second - Affghan campaign in 1842,'a5-well as at Slaharajpore.”
