THE CENTRAL ITALY COMPANY.
'To tho Editor of the THAMES Advertiseb. : Sib,—At a cattle or horso fair when two dealers are driving a bargain and a third person interferes, the instant lie is detected he is knocked down. Such appears to be the unenviable position of the Central Italy Company in juxtaposition to the bargain entered into by the Nonpareil and Italian Companies in respect of amalgamation. It is the first time a corporate company appears so to have acted on this fi?ld, and if so, J trust it may be the last. I should think such conduct will bring its own reward, viz , discomfiture, and that on : Wednesday nest the Nonpareil shall have increased its capital, and the amalgamation of the Italian be an accomplished fact. Whatever the issue may be, I think the conduct of the Central Italy Company upon this occasion should meet with very general condemnation, unless emphatically disowned.—l am, &c., An Onlooker. Thames, Oot. 10,1874.
