BUSINESS ON 'CHANGE.
A BRISK TONE. A number of sales were reported on 'change to-dav, while there was a brisk call over. Huddart Parkers, which recently firmed, possibly for the reason that amalgamation rumours were current, agaiii weakened, buyers offering 40/6, whereas business has been done up to 41/9. Auckland advices are that P. and O.'s are stronger, buyers quoting £402 and sellers £4OB. 'Union Banks were firmer locally, sellers increasing their quotations by 10/-. A sale of Dnlgetys was made at £lO 4/ex dividend, and as the last reported sale was £lO 8/- cum div., it will be seen that they are firm. Sellers of Burns, Philip reduced their price by 1/-. New Zealand Farmers Cooperative snowed a firming tendency, and Waihis are strong at 45/-, sellers' quotations.
