AUCKLAND TRAMS.
OFFICERS DISSATISFIED. Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 21. The tramway workers held a stopwork meeting at 3.40 p.m. yesterday, when the officers of the union interviewed the manager of the Tramway Company on the subject of increased pay, it being stated that the officers are being paid less than other employees, whose wages were advanced as a result of the recent agreement between the company, the City Council, and the union. The manager is waiting for advice from the "authorities in London. The officers are pressing for an immediate reply to their demands.
