SELWYN LICENSING COMMITTEE.
QITABTEBLY MEETING. The quarterly meeting of the Selwyn Licensing Committee was held at the Rakaia Courthouse yesterday, Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., presiding. A conditional license was granted to Mr J. W. Halliday for a liquor booth on the grounds on the Boxing Day Meeting of the Ashburton Trotting Club. The licenses for the Canterbury aud Meth-
ven-liotels were adjourned for three I months, to enable certain repairs to bo - j carried out. '
