NORTHERN A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
ORDINARY MEETING. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held at Rangiora last evening, when there were present: Mr A. McKintosh (president) and twentytwo members. Mr T. J. Hunter wrote resigning his position as treasurer, owing to his transfer, to Ashburton. The resignation was received with regret, and Mr T. Linskey was appointed to fill the vacancy. Mr J. Waller forwarded a letter asking permission to erect a gate in the Show ■ Grounds. The request was refused. The district school wrote making suggestions as to future cookery exhibits. —Referred to incoming committee. The Board of Agriculture wrote suggesting that the association hold a class for artillery horses at future shows.—> Referred to the incoming committee, with power to act. A vote of thanks was passed to the judges and officials at the recent show. It was decided to hold the Winter Show as usual, last year's committee being reappointed. The balance-sheet showed receipts amounting to £862, and expenditure £584 13/3, leaving a credit balance of £277 6/9. Accounts amounting to £484 19/- were passed for payment.
