SWIMMING.

WHARENUI CLUB. A meeting was held ill the Wharenui school last evening for the purpose of promoting interest 'in the Whai'enui Amateur Swimming Club. Mr F. Coombs presided over a large attendance. The balance-sheet showed the club to be on a good financial basis. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Sir George Clifford; president, Mr Geo. Witty; vice-presidents, Messrs G. Rankin, j.
