CRICKET.
CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION.
The Management Committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association met yesterday, there l>eing present Messrs A. Cant , (chairman), T. W. Eeese, E. B. Caygill, B. B. Ward, W. Simpson, W. King, and E. E. Crawshaw (secretary). Mr C. A. McCoy wrote tendering his resignation as a member of the committee, owing to his appointment ,to a seat on the New Zealand Cricket Council.—lt was decided to thank Mr McCoy for his services on the association, and Mr E. "Wilsteed was appointed to fiil the vacancy.
The Southland Association wrote stating that the* dates of January 27, 28, and 29 had been accepted for the Canterbury v. Southland match at Christchurch. .__- ' '
In regard to the new regulations adopted by the Lancaster Park Board of Control in respect of the use of members' tickets and passes, the association's protest against certain- restrictions having had no effect, it was decided that the chairman and Mr Caygill should wait on the Board of Control in reference to ladies' passes for representative players.' • - Messrs King, Winsor, and Jackman were appointed selectors for the Second Grade team for Anniversary Day, and Messrs 0. Caygill, J. Bobson, and H. J. Bowlker Third and Grade selectors.
