SUMNER NOTES.

CHILDREN'S FANCY DRESS DANCE. A very successful children's fancy dress dance was held in the Sumner Town Hall on Tuesday evening. The hall was very tastefully decorated with flags, while the stage presented a pretty sight, being nicely arranged with flowers and ferns. The costumes were novel and" pretty, and the fancy dancing of the children was much appreciated,, the grand march making an exceptionally fine sight. Dancing was kept up until a late hour, and a special tram conveyed the visitors back to town at an early hour in the morning.
