STJNTLY DISASTER. A meeting of representatives of. various trades unions was held this afternoon in tiia Trades Hall, at 2.30, to consider the <iues■>;ion of rendering assistance, to the wives and. dependants of the miners, killed and injured in the recent disaster at Huntly. The steps already iaken in the various centres were explained, and it was unanimously resolved— That this meeting of trade unionists call upon the Government, through Parliament, to send Immediate relief to the wives and dependants of the Huntly miners killed and injured, as ;he meeting has proof that many of these people are in absolute need; the motion to : be forwarded to the Premier, the Leader of the Opposition, and the labour members,- and published in "the newspapers.
