MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

(Before Mr lh.W. Bishop, S.M.f Archibald Stewart;-- for having been drunk and committing'& breach of his prohibition order, was ftoed' 10/- on each charge, and warned that, if he came up again charged with § breach of his prohibition order he would be "sent up." Thomas Patrick Minaham was finsd 10/- for being drunk. Three first of* fenders for drunkenness were dealt with, two being fined 5/- and one 10/-, the last having aggravated his offence by being drunk on the railway platform. William Wilson Taylor was charged with being drunk, and with being a rogue and vagabond, inasmuch as he was found at night on premises without lawful excuse. The police did not give him a good character, but the magistrate decided to give him another chance, and convicted and discharged him. CIVIL CASES.
