COUNTRY NEWS.
(From Our Special Correspondents.) GREENDALE. The Greendale Cricket Club held their annual meeting in the pavilion on Saturday, the Bth inst. There was a fair number of members present, Mr F. Culleu in the chair. The balance-sheet was submitted, and the club was found to be in a good financial position. Business for the coming season was put through promptly. Mr T. W. Adams was elected patron, and Mr C. Riuld president; vice-presidents, Messrs ,1. Streeter, F. Greig, G. H. Ridgen, J. W. Warren, and C. C. Sandford; captain, Mr T. Gough; vice-captain, Mr F. Culleu; lion, secretary, Mr W. Dean; treasurer, Mr W. Fleming; General Committee, Messrs Cule, Cullen, Gough, Fleming, and W. Dean; Selection Com mittee, Messrs Gough, Frew, and Dean; auditor, Mr C. H. Adams; delegates to the Malvern Association, Messrs Cullen, Gough, and Fleming.
Mr T. W. Adams was thanked for the use of his ground for matches. It was decided to open the season 011 the 22nd of this month. The club intends to hold another concert and dance on September 24. The Piano Committee was re-elected, viz., Messrs T. Gough, T. Locker, and W. Dean.
