CLOSED DOWN.
The Coal and Blanket Fund has closed down, owing to there being no funds available.
A number of cases had to be left without relief. The fund will be finally wound up on the 24th inst. ■.-.-. I This is the 'first occasion on which the fund has been absolutely exhausted fof several years. It should be explained that the bequest by the late Mrs Townend was to the Citizens' Benevolent Association. Tb« Coal and Blanket Fund did noi benefit.
