PIGEON SHOW.
The United Pigeon Fanciers' Club held a very successful show of members' exhibits at the rooms of the Christchurch Poultry Club on Saturday. Exceptionally good entries ■Were received for the fancy pigeons and working homers' sections, and birds of exceedingly good quality were staged. During the day, and especially the evening, there was a splendid attendance of the public, and altogether the show was a decided success. Messrs R. Poiinsford and W. E. Earnshaw judged the working homers and fancy pigeons respectively, and the club is greatly indebted to them for valuable assistance. The following is the prize-list:—rPouters: T. H. Jones 1, 'Geo. Menzies highly commended. Mottle or rosetwing: Master G. P. Bradford 1 and 2, Noel Vale 3. Any other variety clean-legged: T. H. Jones 1, 2, and special, L. Penrose, 3 and highly commended, H. Wiltshire commended. Black muffed: W. H. Dacombe 1. Any other variety muffed: Arthur Gapes 1, 2, 3, highly commended, and special, W. H. Dacombe commended. Magpies, black: G. E.' Hales 1, 2, highly commended, commended, and special, Master G. P. Bradford 3. Magpies, any other colour: Master G. P. Bradford 1, 2, and 3, B. Johnson highly commended.
