RECORDS BROKEN ON A MATCHLESS.

In Wellington M.C.C. hill climb last week a 3*} h.p. Matchless wiped the fioor with every other machine opposed to it. The course was one on which steer horse-power would tell, being perfectly straight and excessively steep. The report says:—"ln all heals arjd the final the Matchless started like a shot from a gun, and completely outclassed everything, up to and including all the 7 h.p. machines. It made fastest time of the day and record for the hill." This is the fourth successive win in the North Island in four competitions, a side car trial, two hill climbs, and a race on the fiat.
