The Maitai, which left Auckland at 6 p.m. on Tuesday for Lyttelton, via way ports, is bringing the southern portion of the Navua's cargo of Island fruit. After being in dock for some days, the Opouri was floated out-this morning, and she ■will leave for Greymouth this evening. The Otaki, which is loading on behalf of the Federal and Shire Line, arrived at Lyttelton from Timaru this morning. She will probably get away from here on Saturday for Bluff, from which port she will be dispatched for London and West of England ports. Mr S. R. Jones, assistant purser of the Maunganui, is to join the Rosamond at Auckland, and will be succeeded by Mr D. Borne, late assistant purser of the Maori. Mr J. S. Wells has joined the Wahine as third engineer in place of Mr J. Mackenzie, second engineer. Mr S. E. Davies, third engineer of the Mapourika, came ashore at Wellington on Monday. Mr A. Cumming, chief steward of the Warriraoo, who had been on holiday leave, rejoined the vessel at Wellington yesterday. It is announced that the. C. and D. liuor Marere, from New York, via ports, will arrive at Wellington on Thursday next. She proceeds to Lyttelton and Dunedin on Sunday. The C. and D. Liner Muritai, which arrived at London on July 19 from New Zealand ports, will begin her n«tV voyage on August 20, sailing on thit date for Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand ports. H.M.S. Pyramus left for Akaroa this morning, and she will be back in port to-morrow morning. At Akaroa gun drill will be practised. A wireless message received by the JNew Zealand Shipping Company stats that the Ruapehu, from London, via Hobart, is" due at Wellington on Saturday afternoon. The Maunganui, due at Lyttelton to-mor-row morning, carries transhipments from the Orsova, Mataram, St. Albans, and Tango Maru. This morning the Ulimaroa arrived at Lyttelton from Melbourne, via Hobart and southern ports. She brought transhipments ex. the Katoomba, Indarra, Zieten, Cannstatt, Poommen, Egypt, Vinstra, Fazelka, and Luneburg. The following is a summary of the principal lines:—22s packages tea, 33 cases fruit, 80 cases currants, 40 cases lemons, 59 cases sultanas 23 cases preserves, 70 boxes chocolate, 20 packages infants' food, 39 boxes wine, 380 boxes candles, 180 drums carbide. 609 bales paper, 28 packages horseshoes, 20 packages wood pulp boards, quantity of rubber goods and sundries. The Ulimaroa sails to-day for Sydney, via Wellington. She carries the following passengers Misses Cameron, Riordan, Martin (2), Mesdames Acton-Adams, Sims, Barnett, Conolly, Bartrum, Ramsay. Messrs Acton-Adams, G. Evans, A. Sims, Oldridge, Belcher, Sharman, Ramsay, O. B. Bartrum, Spence, Green, and Foster. She is due in Sydney on August 4.
