TRIAL TEAMS FOR SATURDAY. In view of the Challenge Shield .match against Auckland, and also the , match against Ashburton, the selectors have chosen the following teams to play trial matches next Saturday. For the purpose of distinction the A match will be called the Shield trial, and the B match the Ashburton trial. The following are the teams: — SHIELD TRIAL. A Team (in representative jerseys):— C. Bellamy, P. Martin, G. Sherwood, J. Pascoe, R. Parton, F. Sepie, W. R. Patrick, E. Hulbert, H. A. Throp, E. S. Hawkins, and W. Chappell. B Team (Sydenham jerseys).—C. Brown, C. Bowden, P. Y. Berry, W. Duffield, A. Arnold, L. Burrows, C. Hutchings, 11. Warburton, E. M. Cummins, W. Grammar, and S. G. Holland. ASHBURTON TRIAL. A Team (Oxford Terrace jerseys).— L. Drayton, Dalley, P. M.„ Yelvin, L. Berry, A. Stillwell, J. Crawford, B. Wilson, Ayres, Cotton, A. S. Drayton, and Brown. B Team (white). —B. Jones, M. Sinclair, W. Hay, Dawson, O. Butterfield, B. Down, Woods, Murray, Y. Peters, Gleeson, and Beaton. The Shield trial will be played at Sydenham Park at 2A5 p.m. and the Ashburton trial will be played on the Addington Reserve, commencing at 2.15 p.m. sharp.
