ADDINGTON BAND.
FANCY DRESS CARNIVAL. The Children's Fancy Dress Carnival, to be'held on Thursday, July 30, in the I Sehvy.n St. M ethodist Hall in connection with the Addington Band Carnival, promises to be a great success. Entries for the fancy dress competitions are coining in freely. The Maypole dance (for which the children are being taught, by Miss B. Cade) is also well in hand. Other items on the programme will include Scotch dances, character songs and recitations by the children, and selection by the orchestra. Altogether the children, their parents, and friends, may be prepared for a real good evening's entertainment. There will be two classes for the fancy dresses, one for children under six years, and the other for children over six and under 12 years. A prize will be given to the best dressed boy and girl in each class, the winners to be voted for by the audience. Also a special prize for the most novel dress advertising the Kentish Fair. Entries for the above will be received by Mr T. J. Bettle, 344 Selwyn Street, Mrs C. D. Morris, Whiteleigh Avenue, or Mr D. McCracken, Lincoln Road.
