BOWLING AND TENNIS.
THE PAPANUI CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Papanui Bowling, Lawn Tennis," and Croquet Club the following officers for the ensuing year were elected: —President, Mr W. Nicholls; vice-president, Mr G. T. Jones; secretary, Mr 11. W. Samuel*; treasurer, Mr \V. 11. Banks; auditor, Mr A. P. Hopkins; executive committee, Captain Rennie and Messrs h. A. Smith, W. Pool, James Butt, C. T. Matson, C. Allington, G. Ritchie, and K. "Sates: match committee. Messrs Poole, Ireemam and (Samuels: delegate to Bowling Centre. Mr C. Allington. _ _ A gold medal accompanying the singles championship was presented to Mr J. Cow. An offer of a medal for competition next season was received from Messrs Sandstein and Co, Votes of thanks were accorded the retiring committee and the secretary.
