The German Davis Cup team will meet the winners of the Canadian-Aus-t.alasia ties on the Alleghany Country Club's grounds at Pittsburg on July ;-0 ; .".1, and August 1.

Australasia and Canada will meet on the Onwentsia Club's grounds, " near Chicago,-on July 23. The British players will meet the winners of the ties between Germany, Canada, and Australasia at the Longwood Cricket Club's grounds on August the Americans defending the Cup at tlie TestsiMe Tennis Club's grounds, Lcng Island, on August i:>. In the tennis Davis Cup preliminary tie between England and France, Mavrogordato beat Decugis 6-1, 7-5, 7-5. Parke beat Geruiot 7-5, C {, 6-3.

The "Westminster Gazette'' states that the selection of the English team does not give any hope of a good showing against Australasia. Apparently England does not possess a good doubles pair.
