ADDINGTON MARKET.

A FULL ENTRY. Considering to-day's sale was the last before the freezing works close down, there was a very full entry in all departments. The store sheep pens were moderately filled. Fat lambs, though not numerous, sold very well. Beef was not so dear as of late. A big lot of fat sheep brought excellent figures. STORE SHEEP. For the most part the entry consisted of mixed lines of hoggets, and there was just as keen a demand as ever, which w;as, if anything, accentuated towards the close of the sale. What would probably be a record price for the yards at this season of the year was paid for a line of 229 ewe hoggets sold on account of Mr G. Witte, Balmoral. They were a nice, well-woolled lot, but of only, average size, and they realised 20/-. Good class ewes were also very much in request. A line sold on behalf of the Glenmark Estate, 592 four-year-old halfbred ew'es, brought 21/10, and another lot of 356, of four and five-year, brought 18/8. As this was the closing sale of the season so far as fat lambs are concerned, it was not to be expected that the entry would be large. The major portion of the entry was of secondary quality, though generally good prices were realised. Tegs made up to 25/6 and just on 6M per lb over all was paid for good quality lambs. H.
