At the Tuberculosis Conference at Leeds Sir William Osier declared that 90 per cent, of the people have small areas of. tuberculosis. When the workers had a living wage and their houses became their homes, when the nation spent on food what it now spent on drink, millions would become immune. An inspector of factories assertefl that the dry sweeping of floors is more objectionable than expectorating.
