ARRANGING BUSINESS. At the afternoon meeting of the- - Board of Agriculture yesterday, further , .- details of future work were coflsiilered. ' 1 As the members are likely to be in Wellington at the time of the Agrieul- 1 - tural and Pastoral Conference in July, . another meeting of" the board will be. held after that conference takes place. A committee was appointed to confer ■ '' with the Board of Governors of Lincoln College for the purpose of ascertaining if the two" bodies cau work to- ' getlier in the interests of rural educa- .'i ■ tion. It was decided that at its next ' - meeting the board should go par tie u- V larly into the question of the organisation of the Department of Agriculture and confer with tlie heads" of the various branches of that department. It was resolved to .discuss the question of forestry with: Mr M'Kenzie, who is iri charge ,of that work, and the question "of rural education with Mr (x. Hogben," ' - . Inspector-General of Schools. Before its next meeting the board hopes to pay a yisit of inspection to* the various State experimental farms, so that these institutions may be dis-' cussed.
