An examination under the auspices 1 of the Royal Life-saving Society was • held last evening at the Municipal : ,Baths, and the following ladies were successful: —- Hon. teachers' certificate, Miss Thomas. : • • . -■* Proficiency certificate, Mrs M. J. Heese, Miss H. F. Thompson, Miss B. I. ' Lloyd,:-Miss D. A. Brandon (Normal ■ School, Miss W. E. Robertson, R.L.S.S. Miss E. E. M. Wilson. The class was instructed by Miss E. M. Thomas, and the. examination waj conducted by -Mr G. E. Billson.
