OUT OF WORK.
UNEMPLOYED IN DUNEDIN.
Press Association,
DUNEDIN, June 1
A meeting of unemployed general labourers was called for this morning, and the response did not, it was claimed, indicate the true position in regard to unemployment in Dunedin. Nineteen married men, with 85 dependents, and 23 single men, with six dependents, answered the roll call. They are all able-bodied men, who stated that they were anxious for work. It was resolved that a special meeting of the union be held ta-night, aad probably steps will be taken to place the position before Mr Massey.
