ELLEBSXjIE training NOTES. Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 1. The weather was showery during training operations at Ellerslie this morning, and the tracks were heavy. Before breakfast La Reina covered a mile on the sand. The last seven furlongs, with the assistance of "Waiorewa, were in lmin 33 2-ssec. Tragedy King and Soultikoff were together at the end of seven furlongs on the sand, covered in lmin 33 4-ssec. Jollie Fille was better than Prince Soult over six furlongs in lmin 19 3-ssec. Sltmax, with the assistance of Self, ran seven, furlongs on the sand in lmin 33 l-ssec. a good performance. The hurdle horse Kaween galloped a mile on the sand in lmin olsec. Spalfish did four furlongs on the inside grass track in 55 2-ssec. Haskayne and Idealism were together two lengths in front of Royal Arms at the end of a round on the inside grass, covered in lmin 51sec. Bercola and Sandy Paul did strong work over a couple of circuits on the sand, but neither finished too well. • Crown Pearl was better than Day Fly over fivd" furlongs on the inside grass in lmin 6 l-ssec. A lot of others did useful work. Fleet Arrow and Cuirarua jumped a couple of hurdles in good style. Waldemar, Master Sly, The Pole, and Napper Tandy jumped five hurdles, the quartet finishing well with the two former in front. Glenmore went over the big fences in the centre of the course, giving ; a good display. Admiral Soult jumped two hurdles, and Mapuna and Makiri did a circuit of the big country, going over the hill and fencing well, though Mapuna ran off at the second fence of the double. All the candidates for the big jumping events were out, and registered useful work, though few of them were running against the watch.

Gipsy Belle, Red Pine, and Lady Middleton arrived on Saturday.
