NEW LIGHTSHIP LOST.

STRUCK ROCK DURING FOG. THREE BODIES FOUND. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. HALIFAX, May 23. Wreckage discovered near Liscomb indicates theloss of the new lightship No. 19 with twenty-five of a crew. Three bodies have been found. The lightship is believed to have struck a rock during a coastal fog. The steamer Dufferin sighted lifebelts belonging to the lightship. A Government search-vessel has been despatched. BATTERED HULL FOUND. VESSEL ON TRIAL TRIP. (Received May 25, 8.35 a.m.) HALIEAX, May 24. The battered hull of the lost lightship has been found amongst the breakers at Liscomb Island. The vessel struck during a fog. Six bodies have been recovered, but all hope has been abandoned in regard to the remainder of. the crew of twenty-five, wh v o were Scotchmen. The steamer Dufferin also found some lifeboats, and is continuing the search as some of the: crew may have scrambled ashore, on thevrocjcy islands in the neighbourhood. The lightship was making her maiden voyage from the builders in ..Paisley, Scotland.
