WANT PUBLIC LIFE. By Cable. — Press Association.—Copyright. SYDNEY, May 20. A deputation of women from the Political Labour Conference urged upon Mr Holman the claims of women to participate in the activities of political and municipal life, suggesting that they be nominees to the Upper House. The Premier promised consideration by the Cabinet in regard to the Upper House suggestion. In regard to women sitting in the Legislative Assembly and on. municipal councils, the Government intended to bring the Constitution of New South Wales into line with those more advanced States where the democracy had extended the range of choiee to allow the electors to say whether they wished to be represented by a man or a woman*
