Whoso shall stand at this hearth-stone, Flame fanned, Shall never, never, stand alone: Whose house is dark and bare and old, Whose hearth is cold, This is his own. Flicker, flicker, flicker, flame; Burn, lire, burn! Afterwards all gathered round the fire with no light in the room but that of the leaping; "flames, • while Miss MacNeil. gave a tender little talk on the spiritual building of the house, the gathering dispersing soon afterwards.
